Nursery Enrolment – update

Holm Early Learning and Childcare Centre

Dear Families,

As enrolment week approaches we would like to keep you updated with what will be happening in our Nursery at Holm.

August 2020 marks the start of the availability of 1140 hours of early learning and childcare (30 hours funded childcare per week).

As you may know, our current building has capacity for 52 ELC pupils at a time.

It is projected that our Nursery role will rise in order to accommodate the children from Ness Castle as there is no Nursery provision for them at the moment and we are the nearest setting.  We therefore might not be able to offer the full funded 30 hours here at Holm. However, if this is the case you would be able to split your 30 hours with another Nursery/childcare provider.

However, we cannot make any final decisions on this yet as we have to wait until we receive our enrolment figures at the end of next week. Obviously, we will try and accommodate you and your family as much as we can, but we need to give you all the heads up that this might not be possible if you require the full 30 hours.  Once we have established our enrolment figures we will be in touch with families to discuss hours and the way forward.

This is a decision made from Highland Council and out-with our control.

Kind regards,

Ruth Mackay/Janine Webb
